Brother JT Self-Releases Book

It’s not that Southeastern Pennsylvanian psychedelic guru Brother JT is back.  He never went anywhere. Unless, of course, you count his numerous and frequent forays into the outer planes of consciousness. But apart from those cosmic journeys, the Brother has been steadily cultivating for commercial release his own particular brand of psychedelia since the mid-’80s. Popping up for the first time as the frontman for Bethlehem garage rockers The Original Sins (who made their name in Philadelphia), Brother JT has since the mid nineties been dropping album after album, either solo or with his slightly more boisterous project, Vibrolux.

Now the brother man has a new collection of tunes, Any Stort in a Porm. Available as a self-released CDR, the songs on Stort are inspired directly from the lyrics and meandering stream of consciousness that is The Orange Journal. The 134-page book which contains drawings, words and collage by Brother JT might have been inspired by Jung’s Red Book but at $20 is a slightly more affordable affair.  And it comes with a free copy of Stort.

Oh, and check out the Brother’s interweb presence as the host of Tripping Ballz With Brother JT. Seriously.
